With this attachment, you can create custom ice cream blends with mix-ins, or make other frozen treats like gelato and sorbet. The attachment includes a plastic dasher/churning paddle, metal freeze bowl, plastic housing, and bowl adapter ring. To use the KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachment, you first need to place the double-walled metal freeze bowl into the freezer for at least 24 hours. Once the bowl is frozen, you can add your desired ingredients to the bowl and attach the plastic dasher/churning paddle. The dasher/churning paddle thoroughly mixes and scrapes the mixture for a smooth texture. For a firmer ice cream texture, it is recommended to freeze for an additional 2-4 hours.
